On Saturday the club Circus was even more interesting.  It was a fetish ball.  Patrons dressed in latex, corsettes, black and red fishnet stockings, spiked hair and rubber platform boots.  Ladies were being tighted up and hung from ceiling as well as men being whipped in a moderate hall.  Leather chokers, latex costumes and chains were being on display and for sales on the front court yard.   Techno music was playing in another smaller hall with patrons dancing to the music.

Even more interesting if not bizarre was the next much bigger hall filled with mostly normal dressed Asian patrons dancing to wave music played by DJ Shogun.  Hand in the air waving and pointing towards the stage.  With the weather cooporating, the party was still going on when I left at almost 3am, which was way past California drinking law. 

It sure was a fun and great weekend.

New Years Eve in Hollywood at Madame Royale

It was a black tie affair.  The guest of honor was Vanessa, that was her birthday celebration.  The organizer arrange a caterer with snack and fruit; she also hired a soul singer and guitarist playing jazz music.  On top of that, they also had a raffle giveaway gifts.

However the club and its own DJ took over shortly after 10pm.  Regular patrons started to pour in and dancing commenced.  The club even provided complimentary champagne, at the stroke at midnight, everybody raised the glass and toasted to the New Year and a new decade.  Hugging and kissing abounded.  Gotta love Los Angeles!

The party started to wind down after 1am and people leaving with smiles on their faces. Simply put Hollywood Nightlife at its best!
